AKQA, The biggest agency you've never heard of.

The first Agency that I will be looking at has a studio right here in Santa Monica, AKQA. They are a global agency with 29 studios all across the world with their headquarters located in San Francisco, California.
Some of their most notable work and partnership is with Nike as they are considered to be one of the Top Digital agencies that Nike works with. AKQA has launched many of Nike’s advertising campaigns throughout the years, a major one being “Nike London.” With London being one of the biggest cities known for its sports and culture, AKQA launched a city wide campaign to reel in Londoners that ranged from sneakerheads to fitness enthusiasts. They realized that they needed a local presence and pushed a launch on the world’s most engaged social media platform: Instagram. Putting London first, AKQA made the Nike London Instagram represent the people and the places that form the heart of the city.

Another big campaign that AQKA did in partnership with Nike was the “Believe” campaign. With the 2018 World Cup right around the corner, AKQA decided to pull on the idea of self belief and using big stars to prove their points. Using the likes of some of the best footballers in the world such as, Neymar Jr, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane, AKQA performed in-depth interviews with them and found unique insights that got them to where they are today. These insights were brought to life through an array of film, animation, billboards, and photography that was shared through Instagram and all Nike platforms. The impact that it had was astounding; the “Believe” campaign was designed to connect emotionally with the next generation of footballers across the globe, impressing on them that their hero’s games are based on more than physical and technical attributes – with the right drive, mindset and mental resilience, any challenge, obstacle or situation can be conquered.

Along with Nike, AKQA has also partnered with national recognized organizations such as Netflix, Oakley, Levi’s, Rolls Royce, Minecraft, VSCO, Beats by Dre, Amazon Prime, and so much more, helping all of them reach new heights of brand awareness and success.
